  • After losing a dear friend before I had the chance to capture enough photos together, I realized how important it is to be in the frame, not just behind it. That’s why I now encourage my clients to include themselves and their loved ones in their photoshoot sessions.

    Time is fleeting, and we so often take tomorrow for granted. As your photographer, my goal is to help preserve those precious moments — the laughter, the quiet connection, the love you share with your dogs and with each other — through natural, candid documentary like portraits.

    I’ll guide you through every step, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. I know firsthand how intimidating it can feel to be in front of the camera, but I promise to make it relaxed, fun, and meaningful.

What is it like to work with me?

  • Our chapter together begins with a simple conversation — a chance to get to know you and your beloved dog.
    Every family is different, and so is every session. Each one is thoughtfully tailored to reflect your own unique story waiting to be captured.

    This is the chapter where I learn all about you and your beloved companion — their favourite trick, the place they love most, and the little moments that make up your everyday life together. It’s these details that help me tell your story in the most authentic, heartfelt way possible.

  • We let your dog.. be a dog. And you.. just being you.

    The session always begins allowing your dog to sniff and explore their surroundings while we chat on our walk together. We pose, laugh, play with the dogs and I get my knees dirty down on the ground capturing the little moments and being a treat dispenser. Our session together should feel like a taking a walk together while your dog have fun simply being themselves.

    We let your dog… be a dog. And you… just be you.

    Every session begins with time for your dog to sniff, explore, and get comfortable in their surroundings while we chat and take a relaxed walk together. From there, we’ll laugh, play, and enjoy the moment — I’ll be right there on the ground (with muddy knees!) capturing those little, genuine interactions… and probably being a treat dispenser.

    Our session should feel less like a photoshoot and more like a walk with a friend — where your dog can simply have fun being themselves, and you can relax and enjoy the experience.

  • Our final chapter unfolds at your viewing gallery, where you’ll see your beautiful photographs for the first time and select your favourites. The collection is personally curated to suit your family and is a mix of formal group photos to natural documentary-like candids of you and your dog.

    From here, you can choose how you’d like to bring your story to life through bespoke artwork designed to complement your home and style. 

    I’ll be there to guide you through every step, ensuring you never feel lost in the process. Each image is individually and thoughtfully edited with meticulous care and attention to detail — your story, handcrafted and defined, ready to be cherished for years to come.

Hike + Photoshoot | Take a walk with me.

A photoshoot experience to that feels more like a walk with your best friend.

    We have had two photoshoots with Jocelyn now with our dog Sonny, and would rush to rebook for any of her sessions. Each time, Jocelyn has been so patient with us, and made the session light hearted and full of laughs.

    Despite having a very busy dog with minimal attention span, she was able to shoot some absolutely incredible photos. She had many tricks up her sleeve to get the best out of our sessions, and nothing is too much trouble.

    Highly highly recommended Jocelyn for your photography session! We worked with Jocelyn out at the sunflower field with our three large doggos (and a lizard), all with very different personality types! Jocelyn was just so patient and took into consideration their boundaries and comfort during the whole photoshoot! We worked with each doggo individually and as a group and we were always showed so much kindness and respect to both us and the animals! We loved the more active and spontaneous photos and the less posed factor of the whole experience too! The photos just feel so real and alive! We got some absolutely stunning photos from our session and my partner, who is not a fan of the camera, even felt comfortable! Please Note: This only includes your session’s fee without any digital files or professional artwork apart from the complimentary stated above.
You have the option to purchase digital files or luxury artwork after your session and most clients invest about an average of $2000 AUD to complete their collection.

 FAQs

  • Before the photoshoot, we'll have an in-depth discussion about your concerns, training program, and your dog's personality. This will allow me to cater the session to your needs. The photoshoot can be scheduled for a quieter, less busy day and location.

    I'm comfortable working with "harder" dogs, and believe they and their owners deserve beautiful, treasurable photos. While I generally avoid direct interaction with clients' dogs to maintain a calm energy, I'll use a telephoto lens to create distance. If requested in advance, we can also schedule a pre-shoot session for your dog to get comfortable with my presence before the main photoshoot.

    Your dog(s) do not need to be off-leash for the photoshoot, unless it's for specific sporting display purposes.

  • The easier your dog follows your instructions, the smoother the photoshoot will go. However, I cater to dogs of all personalities and breed traits, and I'll work collaboratively with your pup's abilities and comfort levels - not against them. Your dog doesn't need to be off-leash for my photoshoots.

  • Direct Bank Transfer or PayPal.

  • To secure your preferred date, a non-refundable retainer fee of $150 is required. Upon confirmation of your dates and location, you will receive a booking statement and invoice for the remaining session balance closer to the date.

    Reschedules can be made provided with unforeseen circumstances eg. dog injury and must be informed asap.

    Invoices must be paid no later than 3 days before your session date.

    Cancellations within 7 days of your booked session or no-show, your booking/session fee will not be refunded.

  • You will typically receive your viewing gallery link anywhere between 3 - 4 weeks, though the exact timeframe may vary depending on my current schedule.

    Fine Art Artwork will depend on the size of your print and frame and on the professional printing lab I’m partnered with. This can usually take around another 2 weeks.

  • I offer a wide range of event photography services, from commercial shoots to pet birthday parties and high-intensity dog sports. Whether you need coverage for a conservation event or a corporate function, I'm available to capture the moments.
