Welcome to our Pet Portfolio Photography Day!
The day is all about celebrating our shared love of photography, pets, and community. Whether you’re a professional photographer looking to expand your portfolio or a passionate hobbyist eager to learn new skills, this workshop offers a friendly, supportive space to connect, create, and have fun. Together, we’ll explore techniques for capturing each model’s unique personality, experiment with lighting and composition, and share tips and ideas with one another. It’s a relaxed and inspiring day filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of adorable animal models—because the best part of photography is sharing the experience with others who love it just as much as you do.
Spaces are limited, so sign up today to secure your spot and be part of this fun, inspiring day of pet photography and community!

Information for Photographers
Why should I join?
This portfolio day is for everyone—content creators, pet parents, small business owners, and both hobby and professional photographers—who want a safe, stress-free space to ask questions, learn, and explore how to use their environment to capture the raw expression and personality of their canine subjects.
It’s also a chance for you to experiment with techniques or ideas you’ve been itching to try, with guidance from both Anthea and me (Jocelyn), alongside confident, easy-to-work-with dogs and their lovely owners specifically picked for the day.
If you’re craving a safe space to grow, ask questions, and try new ideas, this is your sign to book your spot and bring your concepts to life.
-
It will typically run for around 2 hours more depending on numbers and the dogs we will be working with.
We will be working with one dog/household at a time with plenty of breaks in-between for the dogs.
-
A portfolio day isn’t just a casual meetup — it’s a curated learning experience. You’re not just turning up to take photos; you’re getting hands-on coaching, structured shooting opportunities, access to confident dogs and handlers, and the freedom to experiment without pressure.
The fee simply covers a small portion of our time, including the planning, coordination, and the chance to learn directly from our experience and varied skillsets.
-
Yes. Provided your dogs are able to be safely left alone in your car or crate unsupervised while you hop from a photographer to dog model role.
Meet your Photographers.
Anthea.
As a part-time photographer and part-time learning and development professional, Anthea brings together two passions: creating meaningful art and helping people grow. She’s driven to capture dogs fully immersed in their environments—running, exploring, connecting with their loved ones—and to turn those moments into artwork people are proud to display in their homes.
Anthea has worked with reactive and sensitive dogs for years, and that experience shapes the way she photographs, communicate, and create safe, calm environments outdoors.
In this workshop, she’s drawing on both sides of her skillset: the technical precision and storytelling of her photography, and the clarity, structure, and people-development experience from her L&D career. Anthea’s goal is to help you build confidence, understand your subject more deeply, and create images that feel honest, intentional and utilise light to your best advantage.
Jocelyn.
Hazelnut latte loving sculptor and dog mom with an addiction to vintage shops, dark fantasy novels all while side questing various disciplines within the creative arts and dog sports.
Jocelyn combines her background in Fine Arts and passion for our canine companions to capture the life we have with them - no matter how mundane. Using the environment, lighting and intricate weaving of photos together, she creates both documentive art pieces that speaks through colour and emotion.
Within this portfolio day, Jocelyn aims to teach how to set your subject up as a base canvas to further work on within Lightroom and Photoshop, composition and depth of field.
Looking to participate as a Model?
All models teams require a basic understanding of good dog handling skills and are confident in various environments. While each team will have their own time to shine, a tolerance of other dogs and humans within proximity is a must as we will be working in the general public among other model teams.
Models are only to use positive reinforcement with their dogs during the portfolio event for their hard work. Models are not required to have off leash reliability to participate.
Please note that you may not be selected despite registering your interest but your information will be kept within our record when there is an opening in the future. Thank you.
